This February is packed with events! Granada will host the 39th Goya Awards Ceremony in 2025, aiming to honour the best professionals in various fields of Spanish cinema. It is one of the most highly anticipated events in Spain each year, where major stars gather and walk the famous red carpet, showcasing their finest attire.
In the categories of Best Leading Performance, Supporting Role, or Breakthrough Performance, there is a legendary figure in Spanish cinema who stands out among his peers. Javier Bardem, married to Penélope Cruz, has won in one of these categories six times and has been nominated a total of eleven times.
But that’s not all February has in store for Andalusia! Seville will bring together the jet set for a grand wedding. Magdalena, daughter of the late singer-songwriter Rafael González-Serna, and Antoliano Rodríguez Márquez will tie the knot in front of a long guest list filled with well-known names. Celebrities such as Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, Fran Rivera and many other familiar faces from Seville’s high society will pass through the doors of Seville Cathedral, where the religious ceremony will take place.
Nestled in the city’s historic canter and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, the cathedral will witness Magdalena and Antoliano’s “I do.”
